Veggies, Eggs, and Lemonade

The farm is finally looking like a farm. David and the boys have been working very hard so far this year. We have lots of beautiful Veggies coming up! Early Peas, Radishes, Lettuce, Turnips, Spring Onions, Spinach and more... The boys are really working hard learning how to plant, care for and harvest the garden. I love sneaking out and watching All 3 generations of the Carter Boy's at work!

Here Chickie Chick Chick.... The boys are loving having the chickens especially now that they are laying. We tried our hand at incubating but still have some work to do on that. We do have one hen currently sitting on about 14 eggs, So we are hoping but not counting our chickens before they hatch. We also received 2 chicks today while we were at the market. They are still young so the boys will have a chance to watch them grow aswell

Jakers decided he wanted to have a lemonade stand. He even drew a blueprint for it with the help of his Big Brother Hunter. He decided to sell it for 6 quarters and use his money to go "rolcoder" (Roller Coasters). Which came about after he watched Guiding Light the other week and they were at Universal Studios. So we have decided to attempt Carowinds in June!

We will update with Pics soon! Thanks for stopping by!

The 2009 Planting Season has Begun!

Alright, I'm going to try this again...

As some of you know, Last year my Husband decided that we should become Farmers. Yes you heard me... Farmers

Well this is continuing again this year but hopefully with more of a business like approach. It is great that we are able to do this. It gives us both the ability to be at home, and able to be more flexible for therapies, Dr. appointments and so forth.

The boys are another year older, and alot more able to work this year. So these are pictures from Friday. Preparing the spring/summer garden spot. We use Pigeon Poop in our gardens along with mulch, and chicken poop.

Jacob was not allowed in the adventure, but he has other jobs to do that he is more qualified for.!
